There are two separate services you need for a functioning website - a domain and a website hosting plan for it. If you type the domain in your browser, you see the content that’s uploaded in the hosting account, but if that domain name is not linked to such an account or to an e-mail service, it is parked. To put it differently, the domain name is registered and you are its owner, but it lacks content of its own. Instead, it can open either a pre-made “Under Construction / For Sale” webpage from the registrar company, or it could be forwarded to some other URL of your choice. The advantage of parking a domain address is that you can keep it and make sure that no one else is going to take it. At the same time, it will not take a slot for a hosted domain inside your account. You could also park domain names if you have a .com, for example, and you register domain addresses with other extensions like .net, .org or country-code ones to forward them to the main web site in order to protect a brand name.

Parked Domains in Website Hosting

When you have a website hosting with our company, you're going to be able to park each of your domains with ease. The function is offered for the domain addresses registered with our company, and not for the ones which are only hosted here and pointed from some other company, since a domain can be parked only through its registrar. Our Domain Manager instrument will allow you to pick from a number of templates and you are going to be able to add your own text to each of them. Forwarding a domain to an alternative URL is as easy as only typing the web address and saving it. If you would like to host any of your parked domains, it takes only a click to do it and our system is going to do the rest - changing the name servers, creating a domain folder in your account, setting up the needed DNS records, etc. For easier management, you're going to be able to filter the domain addresses registered inside the account by their status - parked or hosted.

Parked Domains in Semi-dedicated Servers

With each and every semi-dedicated server that we offer you will have the freedom to park as many domains that are registered through our company as you wish. Since only the registrar company can offer a parking function, you can't park domain names that are only hosted on our advanced cloud hosting platform. From the Domain Manager section of your Hepsia hosting CP you are able to park and un-park domains with only a few mouse clicks and filter all domains you have by their status, for much easier control. We provide a number of different templates you can use and if you prefer, you may also add some custom text to each of them. If you want to un-park a domain and host it within your account, you'll not need to do anything manually - our system will set up a domain folder inside the File Manager section and will create all the required DNS records so that the domain address works properly and starts opening the content you upload for it on our servers.
